DO NOT Watch the School for Good and Evil Movie

This post is inspired by an emotional experience I shared with my friend. We were so excited to watch the SGE movie, as we are both fans of the book series. But the movie was so horrible, it left me in tears.

Thank you for reading this post of I Rant About Books! This will be a quick WARNING to everyone reading. Btw, the books are my favourite series of all time, and this might be the worst movie I have ever watched.

DO NOT WATCH THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL MOVIE. READ THE BOOK FIRST. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. THE MOVIE IS BAD FOR MULTIPLE REASONS; HERE ARE 3.

1. This movie sucks because of the characters. I don't like the way they are portrayed, from the actors to the acting itself. Just kind of disappointing.

2. The setting is so sad and lacklustre. Where are the candy classrooms, for example?? They could have done so much BETTER.

3. They completely twisted the PLOT. Like, who is Agatha's friend? Where is the significance of the Trial by Tale or the Sophie Trap? UGHHHH the plot is literally so amazing in the books and so bad in the movies. WHAT THE HEDGE IS BLOOD MAGIC? WHY ISN'T AUGUST SADER IN THE MOVIE WHEN HE IS A CRUCIAL PART OF THE BOOKS? AHHHHH I'M LOSING MY TRAINS OF THOUGHT. calm down lara

Overall, the School for Good and Evil movie took away all of the magic of the books, despite having all the tools necessary to be accurate and amazing. It was tragic.
